Wayne Rooney reveals why Henrikh Mkhitaryan failed at Man United

On Sky Sports' Monday Night Football analysis, the ex-United front man said that it is hard to compare Liverpool's front line with United's notorious 2007-09 attacking trio.

During his appearance on Sky, Rooney talked about Arsenal's new signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The former England captain was omitted from the starting line-up for United's Champions League second-leg tie with Real Madrid, and for Ferguson's final game as United manager at Old Trafford, a 2-1 win over Swansea City.

Said Minnesota congressman Keith Ellison:"Wells Fargo (bank), fresh off of defrauding millions of Americans, gets US$3.4 billion". But as paychecks begin to roll out in February, many employees will see their take-home pay increase as their tax bill shrinks.

"That is what Manchester United have really lacked - players around [Romelu] Lukaku who can really push Lukaku on". Sanchez will do that.

"For me Pogba is a classic box to box player, he can do a bit of everything really well".

When asked if Liverpool's trio were as good as the United trio he replied, "I think it would be hard".

However, Rooney, speaking on Monday Night Football, thinks City, who are still on course to win an unprecedented quadruple, will be hard to overhaul next season with their football under Guardiola close to emulating Barcelona.

He spent his first season vying for a place with Ruud van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, Louis Saha and David Bellion, while final campaign saw him up against Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford in the forward positions.

"If he has that freedom where he doesn't have to think too much about his defensive role he can cause mayhem". Even for the money, I know they say about his wages and all that but the fee was minor compared to the fees nowadays. At Juventus, he had [Andrea] Pirlo alongside him.
