Trump Goes After Adam Schiff for Lying, Leaking

The US House intelligence committee voted unanimously Monday night to release a Democratic rebuttal to the Republican Party's memo on the Russian Federation investigation that President Donald Trump declassified last week.

Meanwhile, Schiff denied one of the central facets of the GOP memo, which claimed that outgoing FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe testified to the Intelligence Committee that a dossier funded in part by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton's campaign was crucial to a spy warrant approved against former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser Carter Page.

Despite the hullabaloo from Democrat grandstanders like Rep. Adam Schiff, the House Intelligence Committee (HPSCI) voted to release the opposing memo, which responds to the Republican memo on partisan FISA court abuse.

Schiff and other Democrats charge that Nunes' memo is inaccurate and misleading, and the 10-page Schiff memo goes point-by-point to counter the charges in the Nunes memo.

This memo was written by Democrats on the panel who are pushing back against a GOP document, declassified by Trump last week, that criticizes the methods the Federal Bureau of Investigation used to obtain a surveillance warrant on a onetime Trump campaign associate.

Twitter goes to town on Paul Ryan over $1.50 pay rise tweet
Said Minnesota congressman Keith Ellison:"Wells Fargo (bank), fresh off of defrauding millions of Americans, gets US$3.4 billion". But as paychecks begin to roll out in February, many employees will see their take-home pay increase as their tax bill shrinks.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Sunday called on Trump to support the release of the House Democrats' memo, calling it "a matter of fundamental fairness" to let the public see both sides of the issue.

Republicans focus on details in the memo that they say confirm people involved with the Russian Federation investigation bear a personal animus against Trump, including FBI investigators and the former British intelligence officer who authored the infamous, unverified dossier about the Trump camp's connections to Russian Federation.

"Mr. President, I see you've had a busy morning of 'Executive Time.' Instead of tweeting false smears, the American people would appreciate it if you turned off the TV and helped solve the funding crisis, protected Dreamers or...really anything else", he tweeted.

"We are chiseling away at processes and institutions on which we now depend - and on which we will depend in the future", said Hayden, who has worked for both Democratic and Republican administrations.

Priebus says he never heard "the idea or the concept" that Mueller needed to be fired. "They voted it down", Schiff said. The Nunes memo affair may be shaping up as a much bigger fiasco than we even know - so bad, in fact, that it could ultimately undermine Trump's position even more dramatically than we could have expected.

Hat to the back for Matt, Lions fans
Quinn spent 15 years with the Patriots in multiple personnel roles before the Lions hired him as general manager in 2016. In Patricia's stint as defensive coordinator, the Patriots ranked second in points allowed (19.2) and takeaways (157).

On Monday he added in tweets that Nunes is a hero, while Schiff is a "liar" and a "leaker."

"Don't worry, 100%", Trump told a Republican lawmaker who asked him after the State of the Union whether he would release the Republican memo.

The op-ed comes amid Republicans' increased scrutiny of the Justice Department and the FBI for their handling of the Russian Federation investigation.

The president's attorneys have already signed off on the notion of picking a special counsel to probe US intelligence and law enforcement agencies' actions during the 2016 presidential campaign, Axios reported Monday, citing White House spokesman Raj Shah.

The president said that document totally vindicated him - no collusion, no obstruction of justice. Sanders says Trump's legal and national security teams are reviewing the memo and will brief him on their findings once the review is concluded. Logically speaking, you can't argue that this is another Watergate and then argue that texts pertaining to the investigation of this new Watergate don't deserve scrutiny.

Syria rejects U.S. accusations of chemical weapons use
Syria had agreed in 2013 to give up its chemical weapons to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). The Syrian American Medical Society says its hospitals in the area treated 11 patients for chlorine gas poisoning.

Democrats' "rebuttal memo" is also working its way toward being made public.
