Trump threatens to pull NBC's license after unflattering news stories

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday denied a report from NBC News that he told his national security advisers in July he wanted to increase the country's nuclear arsenal by almost tenfold, saying he argued for its modernisation. President Trump conveyed his annoyance at the report in remarks to reporters after meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in D.C.

According to the officials present, Trump's advisers, among them the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, were surprised.
