Netflix is raising the cost of subscriptions again

The price changes applied immediately to new customers and will roll out in the weeks ahead to current subscribers.

Following Netflix's price increases in the second and third quarters of 2016, when most USA subs on the two-stream plan saw their monthly rate increase $2 per month to $9.99, overall churn "was noticeable but still modest relative to the size of the price increase", UBS's Mitchelson noted.

With the price increases, Greenfield expects Netflix's global subscriber growth to slow "modestly" in 2018 (with 20.2 million net new subs vs. 20.9 million projected for 2017) and then re-accelerate in 2019 to 21.1 million net adds.

Int'l Energy Agency Sees New Era in Solar Power
This is an important development after the solar power tariff fell to a record low of Rs 2.44 per unit earlier this year. China accounted for roughly half of the expansion, a total of 165 gigawatts of new solar energy in the world.

When the bulk of that process happened past year, media and public chatter rose to such a degree that Netflix blamed it for a missed quarter of subscriber growth.

Netflix has begun raising prices for new USA subscribers and will begin increasing prices for current subscribers on October 19. However, customers who pay for the "Standard" plan that allows viewers to watch Netflix shows on two screens at once will increase from $9.99 to $10.99 a month, while subscribers on Netflix's "Premium" plan will pay $13.99 a month.

The price increase should come as no major surprise since Netflix continues to produce some of the most popular series out there, Stranger Things, Orange Is The New Black and House of Cards being the most well-known shows to come from the platform.

However, Apple was adamant that it has designed its identification features like Touch ID with user security and privacy in mind. That's shy of the 71 percent of prospective buyers who preferred an iPhone 7 and 7 Plus previous year after its release.

Netflix users will soon see a spike in their bill after the company announced it is raising prices.

Netflix hiked the price of its HD streaming plan back in April 2014, from $7.99 to $9.99. Next year, Netflix will likely spend $7 billion, chief content officer Ted Sarandos said earlier this week at a Vanity Fair entertainment conference in Los Angeles.

Amazon (at $99 per year, or about $8.25 per month) offers a lower price than Netflix's while Hulu's monthly fee ranges from $8 for a plan with commercials to $11 for a commercial-free plan.

Manchester United talking points after big win over Crystal Palace
Furthermore, Henrikh Mkhitaryan made his 50th appearance for Manchester United and marked it with a well-taken goal. It was the first time Fellaini has scored twice in a game for United since joining in 2013.

But some were ok with the increase, and thought it was worth it for all the shows and movies Netflix has to offer.
