Marilyn Manson injured in freak stage accident

Manson was performing at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last night when the incident happened. Manson began to climb the prop, until it collapsed.

Now his publicist has announced the rocker will be taking the next two weeks off to recuperate at his home in Los Angeles, although the extent of his injuries have not been revealed.

Manson was three dates into his Heaven Upside Down Tour, due to end in December with a series of United Kingdom performances.

He was reportedly stretchered off stage, while the remainder of the show was cancelled.

All Marilyn Manson shows from October 2nd through October 14th will be rescheduled for a later date. An announcement to the audience said that "due to injury", the show was over.

In a video taken at the concert, Manson can be seen performing his cover of "Sweet Dreams" by Eurythmics, when a prop-that appears to be two big guns-falls on him.

After the stage crew lifted the prop upright, Manson continued to lay on the ground for a few minutes until EMT workers arrived.

His guitarist Tyler Bates posted an Instagram photo from the airport saying the tour was "on pause". If all holds to form, Manson would resume the tour October 15 in Grand Prairie, Texas at the Freakers Ball.

Speaking at the time of the initial injury, a spokesperson said: " Manson suffered an injury towards the end of an incredible NYC show.

He was then wheeled off in a stretcher, as fans watched as the curtain was pulled up following the horror accident.

We hope Manson is okay and fully healed up soon! He's now promoting his new album of the same name, which is due out October 6.

Manson's tour is in support of his upcoming LP Heaven Upside Down, his 10th studio album.
