Patty Jenkins to direct 'Wonder Woman' 2019 sequel

Warner Bros. has released a clip from the Wonder Woman featurette "A Director's Vision: A Photograph Through Time", an extra included on the film's Blu-ray.

Patty Jenkins has officially signed on to direct the sequel to "Wonder Woman".

Jenkins is already working on the sequel's script, along with DC Film's head Geoff Johns.

There has to be a cognizant approach of not over-working McCoy to the point that he's putting himself at risk for an injury. Hughes once again looks explosive off the edge in his efforts to rush the passer from a wide angle on the defensive line.

"James Cameron's inability to understand what Wonder Woman is, or stands for, to women all over the world is unsurprising as, though, he is a great filmmaker, he is not a woman", Jenkins said in a statement at the time.

And Jenkins was more than ready to get back in the director's chair. It set the Interwebs ablaze with speculation: why would Jenkins not return to the film that rocketed the DCEU into the critically beloved superhero movie stratosphere after Warner Bros. struggled to make Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad both critical and commercial hits?

There's no word yet on Jenkins' salary, but she's bound to have negotiated some serious cash. The Wonder Woman sequel is set to hit theaters on December 13, 2019.
