Irma makes the final approach into Florida

High temperatures Saturday for many were in the upper 60s to around 70 but many across the Poconos only topped out in the low to mid 60s. Clouds enter from the south along with a slight chance of showers late in the day.

A similar forecast for Monday and Tuesday includes highs in the mid-70s. Near the coast, a sea breeze will develop since steering winds will be light. We will still have sunny skies with little to no chance of rain. Any remnant impacts we get from Irma will depend greatly on what Irma does after it makes landfall in Florida, so this forecast may undergo several changes before the middle of next week.

The streets of Miami, Florida were mostly empty as thousands of people huddled in shelters or battened-down homes as Hurricane Irma approached.

Three active hurricanes at once: Katia forms in the Gulf
The NHC said the storm is expected to stay off the coast of Mexico through Friday morning, making landfall sometime overnight. This storm is likely to become a hurricane by the end of the week when it will probably threaten northern Mexico.

Clouds from the afternoon clear through the evening.

Temperatures will top out in the low 70s Tuesday and Wednesday and the low to mid 70s Thursday and Friday. (The average high is 82, average low is 58).

FSU's Deondre Francois suffers late leg injury vs Alabama; severity unknown
When Tide running backs Bo Scarbrough and Damien Harris tried to run up the middle, there was practically nowhere for them to go. With the impressive victory Alabama is certain to maintain its hold at the No. 1 ranking, and it hosts Fresno State next week.

Saturday is looking mostly dry with partly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s.

Under this scenario, Wednesday night will feature mainly clear skies and seasonably cool low temperatures - lower to middle 50s. A clockwise flow of air around the high will keep a northerly wind flow in place. This is because of Irma moving further inland, near Tennessee. The outlook from the Weather Service's Memphis office says effects from Irma could move into the area as early as Monday night or Tuesday. It will bring life-threatening wind, storm surge and rainfall hazards. The storm looks like it will also severely impact Georgia and SC early next week before turning inland. Irma is a powerful category 4 hurricane.

As Irma continues to weaken, it looks like it is going to stall out over western Tennessee.
