'S. Korea, US Discuss Rotational Deployment of US Stealth Jets to Korea'

The United States and South Korea agreed Friday to strengthen Seoul's defenses and Washington gave a nod to billions in arms sales to the country, the White House said, days after North Korea fired a missile over Japan and threatened further launches.

"Trump and Moon pledged to continue to apply strong diplomatic and economic pressure on North Korea and to make all necessary preparations to deter and defend against the growing threat posed by North Korea", it said.

"President Moon Jae-In ordered the toughest retaliation measures against North Korea's ICBM level missile and nuclear provocations, mobilizing all diplomatic means to totally isolate North Korea", Chung Eui-Yong, director of the national security office in the South Korean president's office, said on Sunday in a nationally televised press briefing.

The court further ordered Kenya's Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to conduct fresh polls within 60 days. They said more funds which would have been spent in improving the economy will be spent in the repeat presidential election.

"Talking is not the answer", Trump had tweeted earlier in the week after the latest launch of a North Korean ballistic missile, which leader Kim Jong Un was quoted as saying was a simulation of war meant to demonstrate his military's capability to strike the US territory of Guam.

US President Donald Trump later insisted that "all options" were on the table in an implied threat of pre-emptive military action, while on Thursday US heavy bombers and stealth jet fighters took part in a joint live fire drill in South Korea intended as a show of force.

North Korea fired a Hwasong-12 missile on August 29 capable of carrying a nuclear payload that traveled almost 2,700 kilometers into the Pacific and triggered alert warnings as it flew over Japan's northern island of Hokkaido.

Harvey horror: Toddler found clinging to drowned mother
As Tropical Storm Harvey travels inland toward Louisiana and continues to flood Texas , the death toll too has continued to rise. Rescuers lifted them into the boat and tried to revive the Beaumont mother, but Penisson said she never regained consciousness.

Seoul is now allowed to possess ballistic missiles with a range of 800 km and payload of 500 kg, but it wants the weight limit raised to 1,000 kg. "He will never tolerate North Korea's advancement in its nuclear capabilities and will deploy US assets".

Previous U.N. penalties have resulted in Pyongyang expressing its displeasure and demonstration of its iron-clad nuclear ambition through more missile tests.

Calls are also mounting in South Korea for Seoul to build nuclear weapons of its own to defend itself as nuclear-armed North Korea's missile stand-off with the United States escalates.
