Sidon celebrates Eid al-Adha

Charlotte area Muslims gathered Friday morning to begin the celebration of Eid Al Adha - the Holiday of Sacrifice.

In Iran, the Eid al-Adha prayers were led by Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, Tehran's interim Friday prayers leader, with massive throngs of worshipers in attendance.

President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai offered the prayers in the mosque at the Presidential Palace, where former president Hamid Karzai, deputy chief executive officers, cabinet members and government officials were present.
