At least 20 killed in blast at Afghanistan mosque

Mohammed Rafique Shahrzad, a hospital official in Herat city, confirmed that the bodies of 20 victims killed by the explosion were brought to the main hospital in the provincial capital soon after the blast.

He said the casualty figure might be higher because some wounded and dead bodies had been evacuated to private hospitals.

Officials have warned that the death toll is likely to rise. Ten of those are in a critical condition.

Regional police chief Mohammad Ayub said two attackers were involved in the incident.
