Peskov: we hope for USA political wisdom in Russian diplomatic property spat

Moscow expects the United States to exhibit political wisdom and will in resolving the dispute over the seized Russian diplomatic property in NY and Maryland, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov was set to sit down Monday with undersecretary of State Thomas Shannon in Washington to discuss the freighted issue.

Earlier on Friday, the Russian Foreign Ministry asserted that the country was prepared to banish American diplomats if the USA does not undo its decision to expel 35 Russian diplomats and block access to Russian diplomatic estates.

Russian Federation is demanding the immediate return of diplomatic properties seized by the Obama administration after claims Moscow hacked the United States election.
