Donald Trump accuses James Comey of illegally leaking classified information

On Sunday, The Hill newspaper reported citing its sources that over half of the memos, which Comey wrote as "personal recollections" of his conversations with Trump about Russia's alleged meddling into the 2016 U.S. presidential election, had contained classified information.

In another intemperate tweet this morning, President Trump asserted, "James Comey leaked CLASSIFIED INFORMATION to the media".

Iraqi Federal Police declare mission accomplished in Old Mosul
A United States-led worldwide coalition is providing air and ground support to the eight-month offensive to wrest back Mosul. A military spokesman cited by the TV said the insurgents' defense lines were collapsing.

President Trump wasted no time to pounce on the big reveal, calling it "illegal" - in that, Comey confessed to leaking information to the press personally to get action against Trump.

"That is so illegal!", tweeted Trump on Monday, July 10, after the story had begun to spread and was picked up by Fox News.

Saifuddin Soz feels PM Modi wants solution for Kashmir
The security forces and intelligence agencies are apprehending trouble in the Kashmir Valley on Wani's death anniversary. Pakistan said two of its civilians had been killed in firing from the Indian side, one of them a 22-year-old woman.

According to a former FBI agent, the protocol requires agents to create a memo when they encounter an ethical issue, such as Comey's allegation Trump asked him to give up his investigation of Flynn. Comey, under oath, testified that the single memo given to his friend to leak to the media did not contain classified information. "I immediately prepared an unclassified memo of the conversation about Flynn and discussed the matter with Federal Bureau of Investigation senior leadership", Comey told the Senate Intelligence Committee, adding that he and aides "decided to keep it very closely held". Trump's tweet clarifies his expectation that GOP leadership will secure support for the bill before Congress breaks for August recess. If The Hill's report is accurate, however, a classification review has now happened, and it has been determined that more than half of the memos contain classified information. Roy Blount (R-Mo.) on whether the memos were "government documents", Comey testified that they were not, calling them the personal recordings of a private citizen. The memos contained information he obtained as a government employee and the memos were the property of the government. So, he made a decision to leak at least one of his memos to the press.

"Correct", Comey answered. "I understood this to be my recollection recorded of my conversation with the president".

American Red Cross reports donation shortage
While the shortages are routine the need for blood is constant. "And I've probably given about 20 gallons of blood over time". Those interested in donating can make an appointment at the redcrossblood.org or at 1-800-733-2767.

Comey, whom Trump abruptly fired in early May, said he prepared contemporaneous memos based on his conversations with Trump out of what concern the president might misrepresent the substance of their conversations. Comey, in a June 8 hearing in Congress, had said that he hoped there were tapes to support his view that in their discussions Trump had pressured him over the Russian Federation probe. The testimony sparked Congress' interest in obtaining the memos.
