Theresa May Wants Answers About The London Apartment Tower Fire

Protesters have entered Kensington Town Hall here, demanding answers from the local council over the Grenfell Tower residential building fire, media reported on Friday.

Metropolitan Police commander Stuart Cundy has said that there are still some bodies in Grenfell tower but conditions have been too hazardous to retrieve them.

The protesters chanted "We want justice" and "bring them out".

"Sadly at this time, there are 58 people who we have been told were in Grenfell Tower on the night that are missing and therefore sadly I have to assume that they are dead", he said.

Commentators compared her visit to a visit Thursday by the British Prime Minister Theresa May, who was criticized for not meeting survivors.

Bailey was spotted Friday in the Capitol, on crutches and out of uniform, accepting congratulations from fellow officers. As the bullet traveled across his body, it broke bones, tore up internal organs and caused major internal bleeding.

Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Cambridge visited the area to meet residents and community representatives and signed a book of condolence in front of a wall plastered with "missing persons" posters describing those feared lost in the fire.

While the disaster has prompted an outpouring of generosity, there was also fury at the authorities as the charred tower was cast as a deadly symbol of a divided society.

Experts have said sprinklers could have been fitted in the tower for £200,000, but Nick Paget-Brown, the Tory leader of Kensington and Chelsea Council, said there was not a "collective view" among residents in favour of installing them. It was one of many government-owned buildings that was remodeled under an urban regeneration plan in order to increase the number of units, while making it more appealing to private tenants.

Told there was a need for the public to hear her say something had gone badly wrong and the Government accepted responsibility, Mrs May said: "Something bad has happened".

"I'm positive because I think it was a real chance for local residents, people affected by this tragedy, to voice their concerns directly to the prime minister so that she could hear them".

In addition to Barth, two law enforcement officers, one Congressional representative, and the shooter were the only ones injured. Jeff Flake , R-Ariz., removed his belt, which Williams used as a tourniquet to stanch the bleeding from Barth's leg wound.

Mr Green said the Government expected to appoint a chairman to lead the public inquiry "in days rather than weeks".

"She should have been there with the residents".

Inside the sports center, which has become a major hub for the relief effort and a shelter for those displaced in the fire, the queen and prince met volunteers and emergency services. Residents in other blocks with the same exterior cladding as Grenfell Tower were concerned, he wrote.

Earlier today, Scotland Yard expressed fears that all the victims of the massive fire that engulfed a 24-storey tower in west London may never be identified. He said that 24 people were being treated in hospitals, including 12 in critical care.

The cause of Wednesday's blaze is still under investigation, but anger has mounted in the community amid reports that exterior paneling used in an extensive renovation completed previous year may have spread the flames.

"What she wanted to do was to speak to the people working on the ground on the recovery operation, the rescue operation to make sure that they've got everything they want and see how she could help", he told Sky news.
