Nest Cam IQ officially makes WiFi cameras even smarter

Nest Labs, Google's smart home products maker, has unveiled its Nest Cam IQ indoor security camera, with best-in-class imaging and intelligent features. However, some of the new features exclusive to the Nest Cam IQ do utilize the 4K input before it's compressed. This will be combined with the facial recognition technology of the camera to alert you when required as per its intelligence. You can still get the Aware subscription with the camera, which adds a few extra useful features for $10 per month.

The recent flood of emerging home assistants isn't drying up anytime soon, with Nest revealing a security camera that recognises the owner.

And, in a nice feature, if you already have a Nest device set up in your house, the new camera won't require you to enter any login or Wi-Fi password details, but will grab the information through your existing account, making installation faster and simpler.

Nest Aware also gets you activity zones and cloud-compute-powered person detection.

LaVar Ball: Lonzo Ball will only work out for Lakers
The Celtics will go from No. 1 seed to No. 1 pick after their 25 percent chance of winning came through Tuesday night. The reaction was a positive one, although team representative Joel Embiid seemed upset to not get the first pick.

The NestCam IQ also comes with a new design: the Dropcam's drop-style has been replaced by one similar to Nest's outdoor camera - a half-egg structure that can rotate freely. The security camera will go up for pre-order in the UK, France, Netherlands, Belgium and Republic of Ireland shortly, and those living in Germany, Austria, Italy and Spain will be able to pre-order starting June 13.

You probably guessed it, the speakers and microphones have also been upgraded in the Nest Cam IQ.

You can find out more details about the Next Cam IQ over at Nest at the link below, the camera will cost $299 in the U.S. and £299 in the United Kingdom, it is now available to pre-order and you can find out more details at the link below. It means that it can distinguish between persons from other moving objects like pets. Two microphones are on the front, and a third underneath, allowing for echo cancellation and background noise suppression.

This is a security camera with all the bells and whistles, and now the question is whether this functionality will all seamlessly kick in when you need it most. A two-pack will save you $50, and runs $498. Alerts can refer to people by name if you identify familiar faces within the Nest app.

Donald Trump attacks 'fake news' following Jared Kushner reports
But they did not dismiss the idea that the administration would go outside normal USA government and diplomatic channels for communications with other countries.

This could prove quite a quirk, given the obvious problems of compatibility across Apple, Amazon, Google and Samsung products, not to mention those from smaller, regional manufacturers of smart devices.

Intelligent audio alerts notify you about things that the camera can't see, including a person talking or dog barking.

Factor in the three hours of snapshot history that you get without a subscription, and you could feasibly avoid paying Nest anything every month if your review needs are minimal. Nest will continue to offer the first-generation indoor Nest Cam and the Nest Cam Outdoor ($199 each). At launch, audio features will still follow a walkie-talkie approach, where you push a button each time you want to talk, but a software update this sumer will bring full duplex audio, meaning you'll just have to press a button once to talk, as you would in a Google Hangout.

Bernhard Langer might get his place in the record books on Sunday, but Vijay Singh probably will have something to say about it. Langer, who began the day one shot behind Singh, fired a closing round 4-under-par 68 to finish with a 72-hole total of 270.
