Baylor women's golf is in fifth place after shooting 8-over-par 296 in Monday's first round at the NCAA Athens (Ga.) Regional.

NCAA DII MEN'S MIDWEST/CENTRAL REGIONAL - The Northeastern State men's golf team posted a 9-over par 297 and are in 18th in the team standings after Monday's first round of the NCAA Midwest/Central Regional in Axtell, Neb. The top three teams in the regional will advance to the 2017 NCAA Division II National Championship to be held May 17-20 at the Findlay Country Club.

USC, playing on this course for the first time since its 2008 NCAA title, is seeking its 20th straight trip to the NCAA final field while now riding an NCAA-record streak of even straight regional wins.
