Panthers QB Newton sits out practice; Anderson ready to go

A couple days after sustaining a concussion during the Panthers versus the Falcons game, the Carolina QB is now being hit again ... with a lawsuit.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton allegedly trashed a Beverly Hills mansion he rented after the Super Bowl.

YOU'RE FIRED - Oxfordshire hopeful kicked out by Lord Sugar in first week
The final call certainly didn't seem to be an easy one, since Lord Sugar even questioned Rebecca's suitability for the process. Lord Sugar said: "You know that I'm a different class to Donald".

Newton, who suffered the concussion in the fourth quarter of a loss Sunday at the Atlanta Falcons, was among six starters that did not participate in practice Thursday. Newton's status is unknown for Week 5's divisional meeting with Tampa Bay, but he does get an extra day to recover because Carolina plays on Monday night.

If Newton can't go, veteran backup Derek Anderson will make his first start since 2014. Linebacker Thomas Davis and running back Jonathan Stewart, who are battling hamstring injuries, were at practice but not in pads.

Videos of such flyovers appear in North Korean propaganda as evidence of us hostility, the AP notes. North Korea's fifth nuclear test coincide with the country's celebration of its Foundation Day.

According to Bill Voth of Black and Blue Review, neither Cam Newton nor Michael Oher was on the field when practice began today. Anderson should remain off of the fantasy radar despite an appetizing matchup versus a suspect Tampa Bay defense.

The Panthers and head coach Ron Rivera have not said much about his condition at this time.

Asked which players he had the most concern about, Rivera said: "I'd say all of them". While Newton did convert, he was evaluated for a concussion, brought into the locker room and held out for the remainder of the game. Guys have a lot of confidence in him, as well. In two starts that year Anderson beat the Bucs twice. Given his physical resilience, it is still likely Newton will play.
